This photograph is from the series “Sand Castle Chronicles,” an emerging project that I have been working on from time to time over the last couple years. The sand castles are constructed by myself with help from a close friend (according to a plan made up as we go), then photographed with my pinhole camera. A very long exposure is started just before sunset which lasts through the twilight on Polaroid film from my remaining old stock of type 55 P/N. Prints are made from the negative.
